 Not a lot has been going on around here in terms of clients and work.  A big part of that is because I'm in graduate school.  I'm working towards a Master's degree in Software Engineering.  Between a full class load and doing some programming work for a professor, I've been staying pretty busy.  I did do an upgrade of sorts to this website in the last week.  I've moved away from using static pages I created by hand and towards using a content management package called Drupal.

It's a complex but very versatile content management system.  There are several aspects that I like about it.  The first is that a single installation of Drupal is able to run multiple websites.  Therefore, when it is time to perform security updates or add modules, I can do it only once and the updates will be rolled out to all of the websites I am running.  This saves a lot of time in administration.  Now, even though all of the sites use the same installation, they are administered separately and users on one site won't be able to tell there are other sites also running.  Another beneficial aspect is its versatility in terms of features.  The basic install comes with a core set of features.  In addition to that, there is a large library of modules that can be integrated into the system.  Better editors, file upload modules, forums, chat boxes, you name it.  

As I said, in the past week I've converted the site over to using Drupal.  I figure this will make life easier as I already run several websites.  Over time, I imagine I'll add clients and additional websites to run.  I figure that I can be more productive using this new system, and that's a good thing.
